In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering heating oil, propane, and diesel fuel to our residential and commercial customers. Responsibilities:

Fuel Delivery:
-
Safely transport heating oil to designated customer locations using company-provided vehicles.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly loaded with fuel.

Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols during fueling and delivery operations.

Verify and accurately record fuel quantities, delivery times, and customer information on delivery tickets or electronic devices.

Provide friendly and professional customer service during fuel deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.

Professional Appearance:

Maintain a neat and professional appearance while representing Upstate Energy, including wearing the designated company uniform and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Follow grooming and hygiene standards set by the company, projecting a positive and professional image to customers and the public.

Punctuality:

Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes, ensuring on-time delivery to customers.

Manage time effectively to meet delivery targets while maintaining safe driving practices.

Communicate any delays or issues affecting delivery schedules to the appropriate supervisor or dispatcher promptly.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and other fluid levels.

Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department for repairs or service.

Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized at all times.

Compliance and Documentation:

Follow all federal, state, and local regulations governing the transportation and delivery of heating oil, propane, and diesel fuel.

Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly, including delivery tickets, mileage logs, and any other documentation as required by the company or regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in the fuel industry.

Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.

Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers.

Punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility to meet delivery schedules.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make sound decisions.

Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy fuel hoses and operate fueling equipment.
